CHEER COMPETITION POLICY

  • Competitions are MADATORY! Your athlete is part of a team and routine that does not work without your athlete.
  • On competition weekends cheerleaders MUST be available Friday through Sunday and must stay for awards  at all competitions.
Hertz Competition: end of October / winning teams move on to Regionals.
Regionals Competition: Thanksgiving weekend in Orlando. Possible practice & performance dates are Thanksgiving Thursday, Friday, Saturday or Sunday. Winning teams move on to Nationals.
    National Competition: Normally
around the first week of December in Orlando again. Winning teams move on to Globals.
Globals: Normally January in New Jersey.  Winning teams will need to fundraise for this trip.
  • Choreography practice days are MANDATORY WITH NO EXCEPTIONSThese will take the place if your coach chooses to have a specific agenda planned for practice aside fromthe normal for their competition routine.
  • Props: If your routine requires a prop, the cost of that prop will be divided between all the team members, made by team members and team parents, or fundraised for.
  • Hair must be secured tightly per coaches request for all games, performances, and competitions. Your coach and team mom will send out photos and/or tutorial for what they require.
  • A detailed list of required makeup will be sent out with video tutorials to help you with the hair and make-up application for competition. In some cases, the coaches and other volunteers will take care of hair and makeup for you on competition days and that will be announced in your team chat.
  • Do not post any Naples Gators Cheer choreography on ANY social media site prior to your team members first competition of the season.
  • Drop Fee: A great deal of time and detail goes into planning and choreographing each cheer routine. If for any reason a team member must drop out of the routine after choreography training and stunting has begun, there will be a $100 fee. The fee is to  cover the cost and time to rework the choreography and the extra rehearsal times. If a team member must withdraw from the team due to injury (with doctor’s documentation) or a family moves out of the Naples area, this fee will not apply.
  • Fundraising:  Each cheerleader will be asked to raise their competition costs through fundraising with and without the organization throughout the season. Competition costs include competition fees for each team at each competition, practice room rentals, uniform rentals, bows, meals, entertainment and park tickets etc.
