ATTENDANCE & ABSENCE POLICIES

·      All athletes MUST attend all their regularly scheduled practices and games prepared and on time.

·      It is MANDATORY for athletes to attend all practices and games for the TWO weeks leading up to playoffs and competitions...there are NO exceptions to this rule! This means you may not miss a practices 14 days prior to a playoff, performance, or competition. If they are not in practice, they run the risk of being excluded from the competition and/or losing their place and fees will not be refunded. But mostly, this lets the rest of your team down.

·      All athletes are required to attend mandatory games, playoffs, performances, and competitions.

·      The Naples Gators reserves the right to remove a team member from any team due to excessive absences or prolonged injury.

·      Athletes are permitted to have 3 excused absences (only if necessary) per season. Seasons run two months in Spring and August through Possibly November, December, January. If an athlete  misses more than 3 practices, they may not be able to perform at certain games, playoffs, performances, events, or competitions. This ultimately hurts your teammates/team.

  ·   Excessive  absences must be submitted to the Coach with as much notice as possible and approved by the Coach or Team Parent in advance. All dates MUST be written on the sheet on the last page of this contract please submit all dates of known band, choir, orchestra concerts, etc.

·     Please also include any foreseen obligations you have in the coming year (doctor’s appointments, etc) as well as any weekend commitments. For vacations, please include the day you are leaving and returning. If you are planning to take multiple trips, joining the team this season is not advised.

·     We understand emergencies happen and things come up. In emergency events (i.e. illness), please notify your coach as quickly as possible, prior to practice.

Injuries and Illnesses policy

If an injury or illness incapacitates a team member, they will not be permitted to participate for a period of time as determined by his/her qualified physician. An injured team member is still required to attend practice, games, performances, and competitions to observe. If an injury or illness causes a team member to not be able to physically participate in for 6 weeks or more, the Naples Gators reserves the right to remove that team member from any given teams, so as not to inhibit the rest of the team. Efforts will be made to for specific refunds. This policy is in place not to punish an injured dancer, but to look out for the overall good of the team.
