VOLUNTEER CODE OF CONDUCT:

The purpose of volunteer coaching is to:
Provide your sports education to our athletes. To help our athletes become young people of integrity and character. To go beyond technique and poise to develop important life skills — learning to be respectful, confident, and exceptional young people. 

·      Volunteers correct in an uplifting way using, sometimes tough, but constructive criticism.

·      Volunteers hold themselves and the athletes they coach to a standard of excellence. 

·      Volunteers believe in every athlete.  Remember, “A lot of people have gone farther than they ever imagined possible because someone else believed they could.” 

·      Volunteers protect their athletes. Volunteers are big enough to build up, not tear down. 

·      Our volunteers job is to put athletes in a position where they can develop to their fullest potential through proper coaching and nurturing. 

·      Each athlete that is part of our family deserves every chance to succeed and deserves respect. 

·      Disagreements are saved for private meetings. 

·      Volunteers hold themselves accountable as Coaches of young people, and the lessons they need in order to navigate life. 

·      Volunteers strive to work with each family in helping their child succeed. 

·      Volunteers know the difference between shaming and coaching. Volunteers coach giving honest corrections to help the athletes grow. 

·      Volunteers won’t be afraid to apologize! We all make mistakes. 

·      We are nurturing successful people, not just successful athletes. Therefore, our success is not determined by the number of wins, but by the personal growth of each athlete  both technically and personally. 

·      Volunteers treat all competing teams and their athletes with honor deserving of true competitors. Regardless of our wins and losses, we will be successful, if we carry out the above items.
